Move forward faster—therapy intensives now available in Carlsbad, CA.
Therapy is an investment in your long-term well-being—and your time, energy, and emotional clarity matter.
Below you’ll find details about session lengths, rates, and the flexible options I offer for working together. If you’re wondering about insurance, payment, or what to expect, you’ll also find answers to some frequently asked questions at the bottom of this page.
50-minute sessions – $185
A traditional weekly therapy session, ideal for ongoing support, building insight, and steady progress over time.
100-minute sessions – $350
Perfect for deeper work using EMDR, Brainspotting, or Schema Therapy. Many clients choose this format to allow more space for processing and momentum.
Focused Therapy Intensives
For clients ready to make meaningful progress in a shorter timeframe, Focused Therapy Intensives offer a high-impact, structured approach. We begin with a series of extended 100-minute sessions, typically scheduled 1–2 times per week over 4–8 weeks. These sessions may include EMDR, Brainspotting, or other trauma-informed modalities—tailored to your needs and what feels most effective for your system. This immersive format allows us to work more deeply and efficiently, making it especially helpful for addressing trauma, anxiety, or stuck emotional patterns—without the interruption of weekly pacing.
After the intensive phase, many clients choose to transition into weekly 50-minute sessions, then gradually taper to twice-monthly check-ins as they integrate and sustain the progress they’ve made. Each plan is co-created based on your goals and readiness. Some clients feel a strong sense of resolution after the intensive phase; others choose to continue with ongoing therapy to keep building on the momentum.
Payment is processed automatically after each session using a debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card. A card is kept securely on file through my encrypted client portal, and most charges are processed the evening of your appointment.
You're welcome to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Many clients also take advantage of out-of-network insurance benefits for potential reimbursement (see above for details).
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. I do keep a few flexible spots open each week and will always try to accommodate changes when possible—just reach out as soon as you can.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The length of therapy depends on what you’re working through, how long it’s been affecting you, and what kind of support you have outside of therapy.
Some clients come in with a specific goal and start feeling relief within a few sessions—especially when using EMDR or Brainspotting to target a trauma or stuck emotional pattern. Others stay longer to explore deeper issues, process complex histories, or navigate ongoing life transitions.
Most clients begin with weekly sessions to build trust and momentum. I also offer short-term therapy intensives—a structured 6–12 session track using extended 100-minute sessions—for clients who want to work deeply in a shorter amount of time.
Therapy is collaborative and flexible. We’ll tailor the pace and approach to your needs and check in regularly to adjust as we go. There’s no pressure to follow a fixed timeline—just a commitment to supporting meaningful, lasting change on your terms.
I offer in-person appointments Monday through Thursday, with session times that vary by day—typically between 9 AM and 2 PM or 2 PM and 7 PM. I offer both 50-minute and 100-minute sessions, and we’ll choose a time and format that fits your goals and availability.
During our free consultation call, I’ll share my current openings and help you find a spot that works well with your schedule.
I’m considered an out-of-network provider, which means I’m not in-network with insurance—but many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their PPO plan.
If you have out-of-network benefits, you’ll pay the session fee at the time of service, and I’ll provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance. I also partner with a free platform called Thrizer, which can submit superbills directly to your insurance company to help streamline the process.
To check your coverage, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Many of my clients with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Cigna PPO have had success getting reimbursed.
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs of your care if you’re not using insurance or don’t have insurance coverage.
This estimate provides a clear breakdown of anticipated costs for non-emergency services, including therapy sessions. If it’s not included with your intake paperwork, feel free to ask—I'm happy to make it easy to access. You can also request an updated estimate at any time.
If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. I recommend keeping a copy of your estimate for your records.
