Brainspotting is a powerful, research-backed therapeutic approach grounded in neuroscience. By leveraging the brain-body connection, it helps process and release emotional and physical pain. Brainspotting was originally discovered by an EMDR therapist working with a professional athlete to overcome a performance block. Since then, it's been used not only to process trauma, but also to enhance sports performance, resolve phobias, break through creative blocks, manage chronic pain, and even shift limiting beliefs related to finances ("money blocks"). This versatile approach supports profound and lasting change across many areas of life.

How Does Eye Position Help?

Weird but true—where you look affects how you feel. Specific eye positions (your brainspots) link directly to neural pathways connected to emotions, memories, and even physical sensations.

Brainspotting also mirrors what naturally happens during REM sleep—the phase when your brain sorts, processes, and integrates experiences. Only this time, you’re awake, fully in control, and we’re guiding the process intentionally.

What Happens in Session?

  • Finding Your Spot: I’ll guide you to focus your eyes in a direction that feels connected to what you’re working on.
  • You’re In Charge: You can talk, sit quietly, or share as much (or as little) as you want. It’s your process.
