Move forward faster—therapy intensives now available in Carlsbad, CA.
Therapy is an investment in your long-term well-being. I offer in-person therapy in Carlsbad, CA, with flexible session options to meet your goals and support your healing process. Whether you’re looking for weekly support or focused intensive therapy, we’ll choose a format that fits your needs and lifestyle.
50-Minute Sessions – $200
The classic weekly therapy format, a consistent space to build insight, process emotions, and navigate challenges. Many clients use this time to work through anxiety, relationships, stress, or past experiences, creating meaningful change over time. If you’re newer to therapy or prefer a steady pace, weekly 50-minute sessions offer a supportive, grounded structure. We’ll tailor the approach to your needs, whether that’s talk therapy, skill-building, or trauma work.
100-Minute Sessions – $350
A spacious, extended session for clients who want more time to go deeper without feeling rushed. Many clients (and I) appreciate this format for its natural flow, especially when working on anxiety, life transitions, or emotional stuck points. It’s a great fit for EMDR, Brainspotting, or other approaches that benefit from more time. This format works well for weekly or every-other-week therapy and is priced below two standard sessions, making it a value-driven way to support deeper work with greater flexibility.
Therapy Intensives – Starting at $1,200
Therapy intensives are a focused, high-impact format that condense months of therapy into a shorter timeframe. They begin at $1,200, which includes a consultation, a 50-minute intake session, and a 3-hour intensive. Extended formats are also available, including half-day, full-day, and multi-day experiences depending on your goals and availability. Rates typically average $250–350 per hour, depending on the format and whether sessions are scheduled on weekdays or weekends. Intensives may be eligible for partial reimbursement if your insurance includes out-of-network benefits.
Each intensive is thoughtfully designed and includes:
Intensives are especially effective for processing trauma, shifting entrenched patterns, or navigating life transitions when shorter sessions aren’t enough. Your intensive will always be customized to your goals and comfort level.➝ Learn more about Therapy Intensives
Not sure which session length or format is the best fit?
Reach out, I’d be happy to help you explore your options and decide what feels right for you.
Payment is processed automatically after each session using a debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card. A card is kept securely on file through my encrypted client portal, and most charges are processed the evening of your appointment.
You're welcome to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Many clients also take advantage of out-of-network insurance benefits for potential reimbursement (see above for details).
I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. I do keep a few flexible spots open each week and will always try to accommodate changes when possible—just reach out as soon as you can.
There’s no one-size-fits-all answer. The length of therapy depends on what you’re working through, how long it’s been affecting you, and what kind of support you have outside of therapy.
Some clients come in with a clear goal and start feeling relief within a few sessions, especially when using EMDR or Brainspotting to target specific traumas or stuck emotional patterns. Others stay longer to explore deeper issues, process complex histories, or navigate life transitions with ongoing support.
Most clients begin with weekly 50-minute sessions to build trust and momentum, however my clients tend to prefer weekly or biweekly 100-minute sessions as it allows for deeper work. I also offer Therapy Intensives for clients looking to go make a significant amount of progress in a shorter timeframe. This focused, high-impact format is especially helpful when you feel stuck or want to accelerate progress without the stop-start of weekly therapy.
Therapy is collaborative and flexible. We’ll tailor the format, pace, and goals to meet your needs—and check in regularly to adjust along the way. There’s no pressure to follow a fixed path—just a shared commitment to supporting meaningful, lasting change on your terms.
I offer in-person appointments Monday through Thursday at my Carlsbad office, with session times that vary by day, typically between 9 AM and 2 PM or 2 PM and 7 PM. You can choose from: 50-minute sessions for ongoing support and weekly therapy, 100-minute sessions for deeper work, and Therapy Intensives, scheduled on select days including weekends, for clients seeking a focused and accelerated format
During our free 15-minute consultation call, I’ll share my current openings and help you find a time and format that fits your goals and availability.
I’m considered an out-of-network provider, which means I’m not in-network with insurance—but many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their PPO plan.
If you have out-of-network benefits, you’ll pay the session fee at the time of service, and I’ll provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance. I also partner with a free platform called Thrizer, which can submit superbills directly to your insurance company to help streamline the process.
To check your coverage, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:
Many of my clients with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Cigna PPO have had success getting reimbursed.
Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs of your care if you’re not using insurance or don’t have insurance coverage.
This estimate provides a clear breakdown of anticipated costs for non-emergency services, including therapy sessions. If it’s not included with your intake paperwork, feel free to ask—I'm happy to make it easy to access. You can also request an updated estimate at any time.
If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. I recommend keeping a copy of your estimate for your records.
