Therapy is an investment in your long-term well-being.

I offer in-person therapy in Carlsbad, with flexible session options to match your goals and schedule. Whether you’re looking for steady weekly support or focused, short-term intensives, we’ll find a format that works for you.

Investment & Session Options

Most clients begin with either weekly 50-minute sessions or 100-minute sessions every other week. This creates a steady foundation and helps us build momentum together. As progress builds, we can adjust the schedule based on your needs.

50-Minute Sessions – $200
Best for weekly support and ongoing momentum. Ideal for anxiety, life transitions, or building insight in a consistent rhythm. A classic therapy format that offers space to process, reflect, and reset.

100-Minute Sessions – $350
Great for deeper work without feeling rushed. Perfect for trauma-focused sessions (like EMDR or Brainspotting) or clients who prefer to meet less frequently while still making progress. Offers more time and value than two standard sessions.

Therapy Intensives – Custom Pricing
Half-day and multi-day options available. Designed for clients who want focused, accelerated support. Whether you're processing trauma, navigating a big transition, or just want to go further faster, intensives offer concentrated care in a calm, in-person setting. Ideal for local and out-of-town clients. Includes a planning session and fully personalized structure.

Note: I am an out-of-network provider. Superbills are available for clients who wish to seek insurance reimbursement. HSA/FSA cards are accepted.

What’s your availability?

I offer in-person sessions on weekdays at my Carlsbad office, with a mix of daytime and afternoon/evening options.

  • Daytime appointments: 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM
  • Afternoon & evening: 2:00 PM to 7:40 PM

Appointments between 4:00 PM and 7:00 PM are considered high-demand and are reserved for clients who attend consistently. If attendance becomes irregular (e.g. frequent cancellations), that time may be released for someone on my waitlist. We’d then explore earlier daytime options or shift to as-needed scheduling if that’s a better fit.

During your free 15-minute consultation, I’ll share current availability and help you find a schedule and session format that supports your goals.

How does payment work?

Payment is processed automatically after each session using a debit, credit, or HSA/FSA card. A card is kept securely on file through my encrypted client portal, and most charges are processed the evening of your appointment.

You're welcome to use a Health Savings Account (HSA) or Flexible Spending Account (FSA). Many clients also take advantage of out-of-network insurance benefits for potential reimbursement (see above for details).

I ask for at least 24 hours’ notice to cancel or reschedule a session. Late cancellations or missed appointments will be charged the full session fee. I do keep a few flexible spots open each week and will always try to accommodate changes when possible—just reach out as soon as you can.

How long will we work together?

There’s no set timeline, how long we work together depends on your goals, what you’re carrying, and the kind of support you have outside therapy.

Some clients come in with a clear focus and start to feel better within a few sessions. Others stay longer to unpack deeper patterns, navigate transitions, or process trauma at their own pace. Most start with weekly 50-minute sessions, though many shift to 100-minute sessions weekly or biweekly for deeper work. I also offer half-day intensives for clients who want faster progress in a shorter time.

We’ll check in often and adjust as we go. Therapy moves at your pace, not a preset plan.

Will my insurance cover therapy?

I’m considered an out-of-network provider, which means I’m not in-network with insurance—but many clients are able to receive partial reimbursement through their PPO plan.

If you have out-of-network benefits, you’ll pay the session fee at the time of service, and I’ll provide a Superbill (a detailed receipt) that you can submit to your insurance. I also partner with a free platform called Thrizer, which can submit superbills directly to your insurance company to help streamline the process.

To check your coverage, call the number on the back of your insurance card and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What is my out-of-network deductible, and has it been met?
  • After I meet my deductible, what percentage is reimbursed?
  • Are CPT codes 90791 (intake) and 90837 (therapy) covered?
  • How many sessions per year are included?

Many of my clients with Blue Cross Blue Shield PPO and Cigna PPO have had success getting reimbursed.

What is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under federal law, you have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate outlining the expected costs of your care if you’re not using insurance or don’t have insurance coverage.

This estimate provides a clear breakdown of anticipated costs for non-emergency services, including therapy sessions. If it’s not included with your intake paperwork, feel free to ask—I'm happy to make it easy to access. You can also request an updated estimate at any time.

If you receive a bill that’s $400 or more above your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charge. I recommend keeping a copy of your estimate for your records.
